Ribs with Homemade Barbecue Sauce

Ingrédients

  • 2 racks of baby back pork ribs
  • Chicken rub
    • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
    • 2 tbsp salt
    • 2 tbsp onion powder
    • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
    • 1 tbsp ground cumin
    • 2 tbsp dried thyme
    • 2 tsp dried oregano
    • 2 tsp black pepper
    • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Barbecue sauce
    • 2 cups ketchup
    • 3 heaping tbsp of mustard
    • 3 tbsp vinegar
    • 1 green pepper
    • 1 onion
    • 1 tbsp chicken rub spice

Préparation

  1. Cut off all extra fat from the ribs.
  2. Rub ribs with chicken rub spice, cover and marinate overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°.
  4. Boil ribs in water for 30 minutes.
  5. Make barbecue sauce.
  6. Put all ingredients into a saucepan and cook over low heat while ribs are boiling.
  7. Drain ribs and put in a roasting pan. Cover with barbecue sauce (reserving some sauce) and cook for 40 minutes.
