Jambalaya

Ingrédients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sliced chorizo
  • 2 slices of ham diced
  • 2 tsp Cajun spice
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 small green pepper diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 cups risotto rice
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • Salt, pepper and Tabasco
  • Oil
  • 1 litre of water
  • 1 bouillon cube

Préparation

  1. Cut chicken into pieces and mix in spices. Cook chicken in a little oil for 5 mins. Remove from pan and reserve.
  2. Sauté onion and pepper for 3 mins. Add garlic and cook for another 2 mins.
  3. Stir in rice until coated.
  4. Add tomatoes, water and bouillon cube. Bring to a simmer and reduce to a low heat. Simmer for 20 mins.
  5. Add chorizo and cook for 5 mins.
  6. Add chicken and diced ham and cook for another 5 mins.
  7. Add Tabasco as desired.
